Please complete the following intake survey, which will help the Pediatric Stats Support and Data Science team determine how best to support your request. Available services: Office hours: Short sessions to advise on available statistical and data science resources within and outside the department. The goal of these sessions is to help investigators find the best resources for their proposed studies.
Design Studio: A one hour session to optimize study design. Studio sessions may be attended by the principal investigator, co-investigators, mentors, and study staff. A faculty statistician and/or staff statistician from the team will also attend.
Grant preparation: Development of power calculations and other statistical analyses required for a grant submission. Please allow up to 6 weeks for requests related to grant preparation - your request for support should be made by the time you put in your intent to submit.
Grant-funded project support: Staff statistician support to complete planned analyses. Please note that grant funds will need to be allocated for statistician effort.
Request for Division Support: Please consult with your division chief to determine whether you are eligible to apply for support for unfunded projects requiring statistics support. All requests in this category will be forwarded to the applicant's division chief for review on a quarterly basis.
PACE Workspace Support: PACE has become a paid service recently, and since then, access to the service has become a challenge for those who work with protected health information (PHI) for their research projects. The Department of Pediatrics recognizes that our early career researchers may not have funding available to subsidize PACE access for their projects. To help alleviate this situation, the department is offering funds to help offset the cost of access to PACE. Each award provides up to $908 to cover PACE access charges. This RFA is open to trainees (residents or subspecialty fellows), medical instructors, and assistant professors in the department who do not have other sources of funding for PACE.
